Event Report

In December, we held a workshop to make ornaments out of marine plastic waste at buoy Yokohama store!
The mold used for the workshop was a little hard to recognize at first glance, but if you look closely, you can see a dolphin carved into the mold and its dodecagonal shape is very cute.
A total of seven people participated in the workshop on all days, each choosing their favorite color and marine debris of their favorite origin to create their ornaments.
Some participants mixed and matched materials of various colors and put them into the molds, while others used only their favorite colors and arranged them like a painting.
The ornaments were so cute that it was hard to believe that they were made from marine garbage.
One of the best parts of the workshop is that participants can share the materials they have chosen with each other and talk about their hobbies and interests.
We hope that even a small thing like this will encourage people to think about the marine debris problem. buoy Yokohama workshop is holding regular workshops every month, so please come and join us!
